Sometimes, things are not what they seem to be. This trick may make you go cross-eyed momentarily but it is just for a few seconds. What you see, is a floating hot dog! Stunts often show us that we cannot always trust what we see happen.
Cook up a great trick! You can make a miniature hot dog appear between your friends’ fingertips. (almost!)
This is a good trick to do when your friends are munching hot dogs or hamburgers. I prefer nut burgers, myself, but you can buy Tofu hot dogs and hamburgers as well as whole grain and nut foods.
Preparation: None.
Say: “I can make a hot dog appear between your fingers.”
Say: “Place the tips of your forefingers together and hold them about a foot apart in front of your eyes. Now stare at the other side of the room as you look directly over your fingers.”
“See the miniature hot dog?“

I have a wonderful Oar board. Her name is, “Skid-daddle”. I convert it to a sculling rig and use my hands and arms to whiz across the water. You can see a photo of it in this post.
When I am out on the ocean, the waves and the horizon can easily fool me. I always read my tide chart and study the weather before I enter the water. Even though I am prepared with a radio and life vest, with extra food and a first aid kit… I can still get into trouble. The ocean is unpredictable sometimes. The water looks calm and the wind may be still when you leave the shore but all of a sudden, a breeze whips up. More than once, I have found myself miles away from where I started. The only thing I can do is go to shore and wait for the current to slow down and then, I can return. Often, it becomes so rough and strong that I cannot fight against it. This is when a water proof radio is good to have. Someone always comes to the rescue in an emergency.
Have you ever been caught in foul weather? When was the last time something looked safe and it turned out very dangerous? Is there a time you thought you saw something and it turned out to be something else?
